Merry Christmas #2
Well this week was pretty fun. So for Christmas eve the WHOLE mission got together at a stake center and had a devotional thing. It was so fun to see everyone and talk with old friends from the MTC. Also we got to listen to President and Sister Haymond! They are both very good speakers and really get the whole mission motivated to do the Lords work. But we got to eat pizza and we had a big ole hot chocolate stand, they had them hot chocolate bombs they are sweet!
Then on Christmas day we did the good ole wake up at 6:30 and opened the gifts we got from friends and family and people in the ward. They are taking good care of us missionaries. I think I have gained at least 4 pounds this week and we only get to eat at members' home on the weekends so it's impressive I know haha. Then later that afternoon the zone pulled up with 2 other zones and played some basketball against each other, that was pretty fun 1. I am definitely out of shape and 2. There are some flipping good people at basketball LOL! Then that night we had to go back out and teach the good word! So we went to a member's home and ate dinner with them and played a couple card games with them which was fun. They take good care of me and my companion. Other than that they have a daughter on a mission right now as well and they literally got to talk for like 5 hours! What could you even talk about for that long! We only got to talk for an hour lol!
Then the next day it snowed two inches, which was Sunday! So guess what they did, they shut down the stake, they didn't let anyone come to church, they canceled all of them! I never thought I would miss church on the mission I'm going in active LOL just kidding! The mission also wouldn't let us drive for like half of the day which was weird there was only 2 inches of snow. Anyway, the next day it was even worse on the roads but they let us drive which was really weird but it worked and we were safe!
I loved being on the mission for Christmas. My love for the Savior has grown so much and I believe that it's a lot easier to find on a mission. I'm very grateful for this experience! I LOVE JESUS!
