Lay Hold Upon The Word

Many good things have been happening here in Farmington. Me and Elder Moore have been working hard and sleeping really good. It was Elder Moores birthday this week. And the day of his birthday we were knocking on doors all day long haha we didn't have one lesson. I felt really bad.   Anyway but the day after that we were kinda in the same slump, so we decided to just knock this random door in the middle of this neighborhood. And this nice lady opens up and says who are you? We say we are missionaries blablabla... she goes ohhh well come on in, we were surprised, but ready. We shared a great message of Jesus Christ with her and she said that we could come back.  We have made some really good progress with our friend Michael. He said this week that he is ready to be baptized but he is living with his fiance so we need them to get married first. So please pray that they will get married soon! Also with another lady named Anny, she is the wife of a inactive member. The member...

Mosiah 2:17

This week has been really busy, we have seen the hand of the Lord in this work. Also I have just been trying to find Joy in the work this week. It's so easy to get caught up in all the details of a missionary, all the quotas. But when you just take a second to slow down a little bit our Heavenly Father can do many marvelous things in our lives.   So one thing I prayed for on Saturday was unplanned service opportunities...oh boy I did not know what I was signing up for. We started the morning by helping clean the church, then right after that a member of the ward needed help stacking some hay bales. So we went and did that for him. Elder Moore said "I can see doing that all day would really take a toll on your back for a life time" haha Afterwards we were around making some contacts and we drive by a member and they have a big pile of gravel in their driveway. So yes we went and helped them move it to the back of the house. Then we were going to the church to go to the bat...

Miracles

This week has been so amazing the Lord is working his magic, and I love being a part of it.    So our friend Robyn! She is someone we found a couple weeks ago with my last companions and so finally me and Elder Moore got a lesson with her. And oh boy can she talk. We were sitting there for like an hour just listening to her. But the Lord blessed us with patience and we were able to at the end teach about the plan of salvation. Because she has had a lot of friends and family pass away this year she got so much comfort from that. Then at the end we asked her if she would like to have the Holy Ghost with her always, to have that constant companion. She said yes of course! So we invited her to be baptized and she said yes! So right now the date is March 24. We are so excited for her! Pray for Robyn that she will be able to make it on that date.    The members in this ward went all out thus week and brought their friends to church. 4 different members brought a friend wit...

Snow

Well it's sure been an adventure this week. But hope everyone has had a great week and been safe.     So transfers were supposed to happen this Wednesday as normal so we had everyone ready to go. And we get a text from the President saying transfers will be delayed because the missionaries coming in their flight was delayed in Utah. So we were chilling well then they got pushed back like 2 other times before it started to snow pretty good and quickly in the mission. At that point everything was canceled they told us to go hunker down in the apartment. So when we wake up in the morning we have 6 1/2 inches of snow. So pretty much transfers we shut down for a couple days and we didn't go anywhere. But after that on Friday morning, we got the text saying transfers were on and to be ready for that. I guess the new missionaries coming in got stranded on the freeway for like six hours trying to make it from the airport to the mission home because of all the snow, so that w...
