Mosiah 2:17

This week has been really busy, we have seen the hand of the Lord in this work. Also I have just been trying to find Joy in the work this week. It's so easy to get caught up in all the details of a missionary, all the quotas. But when you just take a second to slow down a little bit our Heavenly Father can do many marvelous things in our lives.

 

So one thing I prayed for on Saturday was unplanned service opportunities...oh boy I did not know what I was signing up for. We started the morning by helping clean the church, then right after that a member of the ward needed help stacking some hay bales. So we went and did that for him. Elder Moore said "I can see doing that all day would really take a toll on your back for a life time" haha Afterwards we were around making some contacts and we drive by a member and they have a big pile of gravel in their driveway. So yes we went and helped them move it to the back of the house. Then we were going to the church to go to the bathroom and some ladies were there setting up for a baby shower and they were really struggling so we asked them if they needed help so yes they put us to work. So after like 30 minutes of that we finally got to go to the bathroom haha. Then the day was almost over, right then we were driving to a house of a guy we found name Adam, there is this one house right next to Adam that is just trashed. There is just pizza box's everywhere, baby diapers, and were just tons of Garbage. And guess what....people outside were cleaning it up, so another service opportunity. It was really gross but I'm glad they let us help. Now they want us to help clean the inside. Needless to say God answered my prayer! 

 

I also got to go the mission home for the very first time this week. It was crazy haha. They pretty much just live in a normal house. And I can confirm they have a TV. It has been a mission rumor that they didn't have one haha. President Haymond is really amazing. He has brought the gospel into my life and really helped me apply it! I am eternally grateful for him!  

 

I know we have a Prophet on the earth today who is led by Jesus Christ. And we get to listen to him in a couple weeks, please watch!
