Baptism!!!

Well it has been a pretty good week out here in Oregon for sure. I mean technically 2 weeks because I didn't write last week oops sorry about that haha

 

 

Anyway this week has been wild and we had a pretty exciting thing happen. If you remember the guy we were teaching Jeff. Well his baptism was this week and all week he was awfully nervous about it all and was thinking about not doing it but me and Elder Mccoy would go over and calm him down and tell him this is the best thibg for him and it will bless him for the best. He was very nervous about paying tithing but we had a recent convert to the church who he is pretty good friends with and they bascially told him all that money you pay will all come back to you one way or another which is very true. But anyway on December 5th he was bapttized and it was so cool to be apart of someones path back to their Heavanly Father i coulnt be anymore greatful. He requested that one of the members who he is friends with baptize him but he has some back problems and he is a bigger guy so he also requested an extra person in the water with him. So i got to go in and help him down into the water and support his back as went down, that was very specail to be able to help. Then on the next day Sunday he was comfirmed a member of the church and got the Holy ghost. That was I think the first confirmation i have seen in sacrament meeting so that was also another neat thing that happened. He seems to be doing good and couldnt be any more excited about his decision.

 

 

So the weather got back to normal again this week. Last week it was like sunny and warm no rain. I was scared that i might get my first sun burn in 19 years haha. This is the least amount of sun my skin has ever seen im getting so pale LOL im losing all my tan lines. But yeah anyway it felt normal but then Boom all this week cloudy with a side of LOTS of rain haha soo phew back to normal and no sun burns so i should be ok 

 

 

I love the hour a day i get to study in the book of mormon. I have never enjoyed reading so much EVER! I actually like to read this book it will literally answer any question you have and it was written sooooo long ago I still dont know how that is posible but i love it. I invite you all to put a little more effort innto your scripture study this week and then come and report back to me what you found out, what you felt, and tell me if you dont feel just a little bit more Joy. Because I can promise if you go into it with real intent to find something that will relate to your life right now youll find it.
