Bless The Rains Down In Africa

Well hello everyone. And Elder Chamberlain I will gladly send you some rain from here if you send me some of that sunshine (a friend serving in Ghana)

 

This week has been a good week to be a missionary. What more could you ask for then to be able to watch some general conference while on a mission? If you haven't got to watch it yet I would highly recommend it. And if nothing else, they will at least give you some good life advice to be a happier human! But I loved Elder Hollands talk it was so good, give it a good listen. 

 

This week it seems like the rain has come down more than ever but it is always fun! Ok funny story, so last week I was trying to learn to say (I am a missionary for the church of Jesus Christ of latter day Saints) in Spanish because we run into a lot of Hispanic people around here. So we have this friend who speaks Spanish so we asked her if she could help us. She said to simplify it to, we are missionaries for Christ! And let me tell you that is a lot easier haha. So I got that down pretty well for my Spanish skills that is. And like a couple of days ago we decided to knock on this door at like 8:40 at night and this lady opens it and says "ohhhh no English" I get so nervous all of the sudden because this was my chance and I totally blew it I just start laughing like crazy then my companion Elder Shaw is an absolute stud and holds it together somehow while I'm dying of laughter in the corner literally can't control myself. But Elder Shaw was able to get the "we are missionaries for Christ" out and she understood but we knew nothing else so he stood there awkwardly and hahaha! I just managed to say ok you have a goodnight BYE! And got out of there!  That was not a good contact haha U feel bad for the next missionaries oops! 

 

Ok something spiritual! So we were able to watch General Conference with like 5 of our friends which is pretty wonderful. And each of them loved it so much. But I mean this one older guy we are working with did fall asleep but that's ok I'm sure we all have! But being able to listen to our modern-day prophet is a blessing we are a very blessed people!
