Easter Party

Well it was a pretty wonderful week! Just doing the Lord's work out here. The greatest work in the world! Your weekly weather update, we had about 3 days of sunshine this week! I almost got sunburnt in one of our lessons that we had outside!

 

We had an Easter party with one of our members! Come to find that this party is a family reunion and there was almost 200 people there. It was so fun, so many people were talking to us. So Shaw and I just spilt up and he took a family and I took a family! Divide and conquer it was a lot of fun. Met some pretty cool people and had some good laughs. 

 

So a quick story! So we have some friends who are very religious they love their Bible! And well we had a Bible study with them on Friday!  Well a quick back story on them! They were homeless for like 10 years probably doing some bad drugs just not good things! They kind of cleaned up a little and got an apartment, but I think you all get the picture! So we invited them to come to church and they said they would come! And they came, they pull up and have their cups of coffee and wearing some jeans with holes in them! Obviously, they will be different from everyone else at the church! But we take them in and sit right next to them! And I just thought it was so cool! I was like this is what being a missionary is all about! It's good to be smelling cigarette smoke and coffee in the church building that means people are trying to change! But that was an awesome experience!

 

An update for everyone! I am still in my first area and I am training Elder Shaw. Canby is kind of the farthest you can get from the mission president or the mission office so as much country I’m going to get! 

 

God is good and he is in the details of our lives! Pray that you will be an instrument in the Lord's hands! And then expect and see miracles! Love you all!
