Howdy

I better keep the weather report going! So this week it was crazy, if I remember right we actually had like 4 days of sun! It was so crazy but we still got a good amount of rain! We were talking to someone and they said according to the professionals this is the 8th wettest year ever here in the Portland area! So that's kinda cool, I've always wanted to see water! 

 

Well I got to do some building fence this week! Probably one of my least favorite activities back home but out here it is the most joyful thing! It's good to get the hands dirty every now and again! The guy we helped is this old feller who has about 15 cows or so. He is inactive so we were helping out! At the end of the service, we were talking to him and I brought up the church and got talking about it and well I was like hey you should come to church with us this week! He totally ignored my invite and started to talk about tractors he didn't come to say the least. 

 

But the crazy spiritual experience for the week! So to give a little back ground. Probably like my 3rd transfer here or so I tried to go to this inactive member who does not like us missionaries and well we got what we expected a good Ole chewing, nothing new but fast forward to yesterday and I get the crazy idea to go back again haha! And well the guy was like come on in! Then we read 2 Nephi 31 with him! And talked about the doctrine of Christ! Explained to him that only Christ can heal you time won't! He got offended at some point when he was a young boy and left! So after a really good discussion about that we invited him to pray and come to church with us! After a long 30 seconds of silence, he said yes!!! It was so crazy! Don't give up on people the Lord will make anything possible! 

 

The last 7 months of being a missionary has been the most joyful time of my life! The gospel brings lasting happiness! Find the joy in serving the Lord! Love you all, keep fighting!
