Member Miracles

It's me again hank the cow dog...oops I mean Elder Esplin the missionary.

It has been a great week out here in Estacada. Met a lot of cool people but also a good amount of not too nice people, which is always fun. 

Whenever we are walking around the streets the whole town will turn into a ghost town, nobody wants to talk to those scary missionaries but then it's like there is one person on the other end of the street who stays outside and starts walking towards us who is probably a born again Baptist who is wanting to bash us. It's like those old western movies where they are going for a draw shoot out. But instead of guns it's scriptures 

That was my best attempt at describing missionary work in Estacada. 

 

But we did have a cool experience this week! So we found some members who didn't move their records when they moved and they didn't want to be found by the church. The guy I started to talk to him and he has done some hunting down in Kanab so I was able to connect with him a little and he and his wife invited us over for dinner. So this week one of the days we went over had a great time they are awesome. At the end we asked if we could share a message with them they said sure. So I started off sharing a scripture. Mosiah 14:4-5 and we talked about the sacrifice of the Atonement of Jesus Christ! And from there both of them just started sharing experiences they have had in the church and moments they knew God was there and the healing power of Jesus Christ! This went on for like 30 min and we didn't say a word. It was ALL the spirit so wonderful! The spirit is the greatest teacher and we had a great experience with those members this week!
