One Year!

Well it's that day, one year ago today I started my mission! I literally can't believe it at all! I feel like I just got out here which is a good thing I suppose. I am so excited for the next year, for the people I'll meet and get to share the gospel with!

This week has been a huge adventure. So to start the week we had to go get our new greeny. His name is Elder Harris, he is from St George Utah. All of my companions have been pretty close to me which is pretty awesome. The thing is Elder Harris is on reassignment, he is supposed to go to Taiwan which is dope! So the drive to the mission office is like an hour and 15 minutes away from our apartment there and back. So we drove there for transfers and back. Then the next day we had to go back for a train the trainers meeting then came back. Then the next day we had to go back for MLC (Mission Leadership Training). So ALOT of driving. And I'm driving now as well so that's fun, got to go through Portland multiple times that is an adventure for sure. I'm a pretty good city driver now.  My mission miles are are hurting lol!

Now the next adventure. So right now there are a lot of fires in Oregon. Well on Thursday we got all these alarms on our phone to EVACUATE because of a forest fire, so we did what any logical missionary would do.... Just went to sleep haha. The whole night our phone was blowing up with texts of people who were leaving and who the fire was getting close too. So when we woke up we learned that the city of Estacada wasn't supposed to move just the outskirts. So it's a good thing we didn't move! But now the fire is under control and it's not too much of a threat just really smoky. But all is well here just helping people, striving, loving life, I wouldn't want to be anywhere else.

So excited for the next year of my life, it's going to be awesome. Excited to grow my testimony even more and share this beautiful message.
