A Busy One
Alright everyone I'm back and for the first time in a while I won't say it was a fast week. It was actually, I feel like pretty slow but that's not a bad thing. We got a lot of good work done!
So I got my new comp, Elder Chapman he is from Tucson Arizona so from all my comps he has lived the furthest away. And he is the first comp that I've had that is taller than me so that's a change haha. He is 6’ 5”. He's a good guy. He's only been out 3 months.
Funny story, so we come home for lunch after church and do all of that and we go to leave and the car won't unlock. I'm so confused then boom it hits me I left the keys inside the apartment. I turn to Elder Chapman and say "did you lock the door" He just nods and stares at me haha so we locked the keys inside... so we were like flip what we going to do...so I came up with the bright idea of breaking in through a window. And luckily we still have our AC unit in the window. We had to pry the piece of wood that was covering the rest of window and I crawled through the smallest hole ever or I'm just putting on some weight one or the other haha. Then boom just fell on the floor. Just a small price paid for salvation!
So I mean I should say something spiritual but let me just tell you about some of the people we visit. Ok first the Spieth family we baptized their daughter Alma and now we just go over there and try and teach the parents. And Brother Spieth Is an interesting man he's always a little bit off his rocker when we go over and just goes on tangents forever. We'll this is what happened this time but we actually got somewhere with him I think. We talked about overcoming the world and he loved that.
Ok the other crazy person. Her name is Lorrie Nutter (Nutter) yes that is actually her last name and it explains her perfectly haha. Most the time we go over to pray with her and she is just crying and yelling and complaining about the government. And then tells us about her cat. But this time she was actually pretty chill and were able to actually teach her some things.
Anyway I just never thought I would be talking to these kind of people, but for some reason that's who missionaries hang out with the most haha.
This is way too long now. Hope you have a great week. God is good, keep the faith.
Love
- Elder Esplin
