Bad Cop, Good Cop

Well this week was amazing. We have been working hard. At the beginning of this week, we went on exchanges with our Zone leaders. I went with Elder Eisley into his area. We saw a lot of success, also saw a lot of awkward moments. For some reason elder Eisley is the most confident awkward person ever haha. I haven't laughed so hard for a long while. But we had a good time. 

Ok for the title of the email. We knocked on this house of where a member of the church used to live and well oh man let me tell ya... the member moved haha. This big Ole dude came out with a fire under his butt. He was madder than a hornet. But he was saying things while he was yelling at us that I realized that he thought we were Jehovah witnesses... so while he was going at it, I was like oh how am I going to tell him we are not JW haha. So when he took a breath I was like.."WE AREN'T JW's"....and well he switched from bad cop to good cop very quickly. He actually was a police officer so I mean he has to be tuff if he is going to live here in Portland. But the spirit worked on him and he actually turned out to be a very nice man. He still was definitely not interested but the moral of the story is making sure people know what church you're from hehe. 

Ok so also this week we found this street that we had never been to and they were all duplexes so there is like 24 houses! And this is the most fruitful place ever. We've only been through like 10 houses and through the grace of God we have handed out 5 Book of Mormons, found 3 people who might be interested and 1 new person! It was a straight blessing from God. 

 

He lives, Christ lives for each and every one of us. I know that's true!
