General Conference

Well what a week! We have seen the Lord bless us with many opportunities to share the gospel. 

 

I think it was last Tuesday evening we had a lesson with our friend Melissa. She is so amazing, she is from Peru but has lived in the US for a while now. Her husband is a member of the church but hasn't been to church for a while. She has been coming to church like every Sunday and has loved it. We taught the doctrine of Christ Tuesday night and she loved the idea of the constant companionship of the Holy Ghost! We invited her to be baptized on April 23rd and she said yes! She was so excited, she's like what time will we be doing it? I want to put it in my calendar haha. So we are super excited for her. 

 

General Conference was amazing. Being a part of the true church who knows that Christ lives and guides a living prophet today! We have modern day scripture. Pretty cool I'd say. I learned a lot so many wonderful speakers. My favorite one was probably President Nelson's or Elder Nattress both really amazing. 

 

Welp the crummy thing about this week is I rolled the heck out of my ankle. I was playing some basketball for morning workouts and of course we had to do last point wins. So I bring the ball around the key, drive into the key and hit a mid range jumper, come down and over goes my ankle, I fall to the floor.....but I made the shot so we did win so totally worth it haha. But I also did learn something else. When I limped back to the apartment I sat down in my chair and naturally take some ibuprofen. And well I started to get really light headed. And almost passed out. So apparently you’re not supposed to take Ibuprofen on an empty stomach so that was just one heck of a day.
