Moroni 9:4-6

Well hello everyone hope all is well. This week has been pretty good. We worked hard!

We had zone conference this week. And it was themed with the robot "Tiwi" devices in our car that tell us if we are going too fast. #checkyourspeed it was really amazing. Talked about being diligent as missionaries and how to be the most efficient.

President Haymond taught us something that was really cool. But it goes like this.

- Why, why should I change?

- What, what should I change?

- How, how can I change?

I think when we apply these questions into anything we do we will see what the most effective solution is. It's also good as missionaries to see that we need to give people a reason to change. Give them their why. So idk if that makes sense or not. But there you go.

Well everyone my ankle is doing much better. It's still a little sore but most of the bruising is gone and I can run on it with an ankle brace on. So I will be alright. I can definitely tough it out.

The title of the email is something the Spirt taught me this week.

So Moroni 9 is a very sad chapter some really terrible things happening in there. And the prophet Mormon is trying his best to tell them to repent but they will not accept his message. In verse 4 he brings out some of his frustration and how he is really discouraged. But in verse 6 he brings out that even with people rejecting his message he still was called of God to teach them. And if he was to stop their sins would be on his soul.

So I was taught even when we do our best and we are worthy and teaching, people still have agency to accept God's message. We just have to be good and go and trust in God.

Not sure if that is pieced together that well. I love doing this work, I love serving my Heavenly Father and being a representative of my Savior Jesus Christ! Everyone the gospel is true and Christ lives! The Book of Mormon is truly another Testament of Jesus Christ!

I love you all -Elder Esplin
