To The Rescue
Well this week went by really fast! This has probably been the fastest transfer ever. I literally feel like it just started last week but we are going into the last week already. But all is well.
We had to save some missionaries in our zone this week haha. So we go to our district council meeting and have a good time there and all. Then we are leaving right. Well we get a call from one of the other companionships saying. "We ran out of gas in the middle of the intersection" Well by the grace of God we saw them right as they said that. So we pull off the side of the road and run over into the intersection. Oh keep in mind it's raining cats and dogs at this point. But we run over and start pushing those guys out of the way and somehow we actually got them up and out of the way before anything too crazy happened. But they still didn't have any gas. But what they did have a big Ole fountain drink bottle. So Elder Silver and I drive to the gas station with our car full of gas. And ask the guy pumping the gas to fill up this soda cup full of gas. It was probably the most exciting thing he saw all day. But we got that and then we were able to get enough gas in their car to get them to the gas station. Wild times.
But we had a couple more teaching opportunities this week which was nice. Still knocking on a bunch of doors. Big doors to like on mansions! It's pretty fun not going to lie.
We went on exchanges with the APs this week. Kinda fun. First time doing that and I think I figured out that they are pretty much just normal missionaries with a silly assignment haha. But also went on another exchange with the Bronson Creek Elders. They have the smallest area in the whole mission! Like one side to the other in a car is 7 minutes haha. But they are good missionaries!
While up here in Portland I have met so many people from so many different countries. Africa, Canada, Peru, Japan, China, India, Italy, Europe..and so many more just can't think of them all right now. I just think of the blessing it is to be able to meet so many people from so many different places. Learn from all of them and help them with their faith in Jesus Christ!
God is good, the church is true, Jesus loves you!- Elder Esplin
