It's Me Again!

Ok is it just me or is time going into turbo mode? This week went by so fast and we had a good time while in the midst of it.

Had my birthday on Thursday that was pretty fun. Started the day by going around and doing bike stuff with Elder Silver. For some reason every elder that's on a bike decided to break there bike that day. But we did just go around after that doing normal missionary things. But for dinner we went to Olive Garden, and I think it was the Holy Spirit guiding us there. We talked to 5 people who knew about the church. Our waiter was an inactive member who asked for a Book of Mormon so he could start reading again. It was just awesome. But the food at Olive Garden was amazing. I got this Chicken Srimp Pasta and it was amazing and the bread sticks where great and the salad was actually really good as well. A great birthday dinner for sure. But thank you all for the birthday wishes you're the best.

Friday we went on exchanges with one of the district leaders and his comps. Elder Stallard and Kennelly. They are some good elders. But I was with Elder Stallard in my area and we got some work done it was fun to be able to just get up and go. We knocked a bunch of doors. But there at the end of the day we knock on this door and this lady comes to door and yells through the window "Just leave me something on the door" so I show her through the window a Book of Mormon and boom a complete change. Not one that normally happens. She got really excited and opened the doors and proceeded to talk to us for 45 minutes about how much she loves "Mormons". She has had really good contact with members in Utah and like a member saved her life once somehow. But she was open to meeting with us.  So moral of the story is you never know what or how you will impact someone's life by just being a good example.

Sunday was a good time. I got to talk in church yet again. I've spoke twice since being here so I'm getting pretty good at that I would say. But the crazy thing is I got to see one of my brother’s, Argo! He texted me Sunday telling me he was in Portland asking if he could swing by. So I called my mission president and he was like yes sure that would be awesome! So it was fun to be able to talk to him. A very good surprise

Then yesterday was a pretty neat experience. A missionary from the New Hampshire mission had to come home for a couple days for a memorial service. His name is Elder Gomez! But while he was here he came with us for part of the day. And it was just so interesting to hear how other missions do things. It was a good learning experience for sure. But he is a great missionary I'm glad we got to spend some time together!

Well this is getting a little long. I hope you’re all doing well! God bless you!
